The former beauty queen attends Geek 2 Chic 2012 that benefits NFTE, which was her platform as Miss DC 2011.
The ‘geeks’ sashayed down the Bloomingdale’s runway for Microsoft’s third annual “Geek 2 Chic” fashion show on Wednesday evening (by geeks, we really mean hot male techies who have traveled the world and pioneered some of the most influential technology companies in the industry). 100% of the proceeds from the event, as well at 10% of any men’s fashion items purchased that evening, went toward the Network for Teaching Entrepreneurship.
The Fall trends were making bold statements on
the runway – vibrant cobalt blue and burnt orange were staples in almost every ensemble. The only color missing from the Fall color palette was plum, but there were selections on the showroom floor that showed some of the creative color combinations for this versatile tone. The event was a huge success, thanks to organizer Mark Drapeau from the Microsoft Office of Civic Innovation, and NBC4’s Angie Goff as a stylish and effervescent emcee.

Founded in 1987 by Steve Mariotti, NFTE aims to give youth in low-income areas the motivation to complete their education by learning the principles of entrepreneurship.
